9-13 May 2016 St Germain au Mont d'Or (France)

Practical Information

The school is held in the “golden” hills near Lyon, in St Germain au Mont d’Or, in the Domaine des Hautannes. The domain offers all facilities for meetings: meeting rooms, lodging facilities, a restaurant, a small bar, a courtyard, a park, and WIFI everywhere.

For the school, we have access to 2 small meeting rooms (for working groups or nightly talks), 1 large meeting room (for the main courses), and bedrooms.

Transportation

The Domaine des Hautannes is at walking distance from the train station of St Germain au Mont d’Or (1.2 km, but it is not flat!), which is connected to the Lyon Part-Dieu and Lyon Vaise train stations (10 minutes). Shuttles are available for the arrivals on Monday (departures at 10h40 and 11h40 in front of St Germain train station, look for a "Transdev" bus) and departures on Friday (departures at 13h00 and 14h00 from the Domaines des Hautannes).

If you can't take one of the shuttles and you don't feel like walking to the Domaine de Hautannes, take the TCL bus line N° 96 in direction of  "St Germain Pain Béni" up to the stop "Les Hautannes" (timetables are available on  the TCL website).

To get to Lyon from abroad by plane, the easiest is often to flight to Paris (Aéroport Roissy Charles de Gaulle) and to take the direct TGV (fast train) to Lyon Part-Dieu station (2 hours). It is also possible to get flight connections directly to Lyon (Aéroport St Exupéry), then to take the Rhônexpress express tram to Lyon Part-Dieu station (30 minutes). If you don’t find any suitable flight connections to Paris or Lyon, you may find interesting flights to Geneva, then take the train.
